Buzz Feedz: According to the Pakistan Economic Survey (PES) 2022-23, the country has seen a phenomenal increase in the population of donkeys, reaching 5.8 million this year. The statistics indicate an increasing trend in recent years, to 5.5 million in 2019-2020, 5.6 million in 2020-21, and 2.7 million in 2021-22.
A report published by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar revealed an increase in the number of cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats by 55.5 million, 45 million, 32.3 million and 84.7 million respectively. However, camels, horses and mules remained stable at 1.1 million, 0.4 million and 0.2 million respectively.
